About the Pennine Section

The Pennine section’s meeting place is the Shaw Comrades Club, Manchester Rd, Shaw, Oldham, OL2 8SB. Club nights and Machine nights are held there.. A map showing the location can be found on the ‘Articles’ page.

Club nights are on the second Tuesday of the month at 8:30pm and include speakers on a variety of related subjects, quiz nights, and of course the staple ‘Noggin and Natter’ evenings.

We are one of 83 local sections of the Vintage Motor Cycle Club Ltd, an international club of over 17,000 members whose interests are in riding, restoring or just talking about motor cycles made from the late 19th century up to 25 years old.

Machine Nights are held in June July on the car park. These are from 7:30pm until dusk, or later if you have good (or any) lights. Anyone is welcome to come along and display their machine. These evenings usually attract a lot of interest from passers-by.

Club rides are another popular feature of the Section’s activities and a full calendar of events, with additional information and directions can be found on the ‘Events’ page. Club rides are restricted to members of the VMCC who must sign on before taking part. There is also the option of a day membership for anyone interested but not yet a member.
